In many recent years, central Vietnam group tours are increasing considerably and gain a lot of interest. After Danang, Hue is the second destination which welcomes many guests every year. When visiting the city, specifically the King’s tombs, you can understand more thoroughly about Vietnamese history. In the article, I am going to introduce to you the three most famous mausoleums of Kings in the romantic city.
It is considered the most famous tomb in Hue City. The tomb is built for the emperor Tu Duc. It took three years to complete the whole construction (from 1864 to 1867). The area is divided into two main parts: Temple Area and a Tomb area. The emperor Tu Duc decided to build the tomb for himself when he became the king. In 1883, his planning was started. In reality, during the process of building the tomb, many workers forced to work round the clock, which made them overloaded. They rebelled to fight for their rights. However, their rebellion was failed and the planning was still carried out. The King also apologized for his wrong actions.
Until 1873, the total construction was completed with 50 different small buildings. The paths paved with Bat Trang bricks. In the structure, there are a place, theater, the building where the king and queens took a rest, etc. Especially, there is a place aiming for worship. Nowadays, tourists can go to the place, burn incense and express their respects to the king.
The peaceful atmosphere in the campus
It is located on the Cam Khe Mountain, and far from Hue City about 12 kilometers. The mausoleum was built from 1840 to 1843. The campus has a symmetrical structure with an architectural axis. In this campus, there are the main door, courtyard, gravestone house, Hien Duc door, Sung An house, Trieu Minh Lake, Minh Lau, Tan Nguyet Lake, Quang Minh Chinh Truc Lake, Trung Dao Kieu and Buu Thanh (Minh Mang’s tomb). The area of the is 18ha but the whole area of the campus is up to 475ha. The main door is called “Dai Hong Mon” which is just used to welcome the King. The two sides of the main door are Ta Hong Mon and Huu Hong Mon. The center of the campus is Tan Nguyet Lake that has a bridge named Trung Dao Kieu. One of the special things is that its shape like a person relaxing comfortably and his head lies on Kim Phung Mountain. Thanks to its unique shape, cultural and historical sites in Hue, the mausoleum also attracts a lot of tourists coming here every day.
The beautiful landscape in the mausoleum
In Hue tours, the mausoleum of Tu Duc is also the destinations they should go. It also has another name “Ung Mausoleum”. The building is located in the Chau Chu mountain, Hue City. The mausoleum was built the King Khai Dinh, the twelfth emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty. It took till 11 years to finish the construction (from 1920 to 1931). The architecture of the mausoleum is the harmony blend of Western and Easter style. Cung Thien Dinh is the place for worshipping the king Khai Dinh and also located the highest position of the building. All of the in here are decorated with glass and porcelain that are valuable as well as attractively. When visiting the place, tourists will be attracted by its eye-catching and sparkling beauty.
