I fall in love with Hue because of the slow lifestyle and the leniency in this dreamy land. Referring to Hue, people often think of the palaces, ancient temples bearing the same time as the king's glorious time. Everyone wants to travel to Hue once to see the vivid evidence of the last feudal dynasty. Moreover, Hue also brings gentle features of a slow life.

Autumn, from September to the end of November, is considered the ideal time to travel to Hue. At this time the weather is mild, not too hot and not cold and convenient for sightseeing. Coming to Hue is coming to the picturesque and romantic sight. It is impossible to understand about Hue's beauty if anyone has come to Hue without visiting the following tourist sites.

Famous sites in Hue

Hue Citadel

Hue Citadel

Hue Citadel

Hue Citadel is one of the historical sites in Hue that are recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage, where typical annual cultural festivals take place. Travel to Hue City, you need to pay VND 150,000 per person for sightseeing. If you come to Hue you should not miss this attractive tourist destination.

Thien Mu Pagoda

Thien Mu Pagoda is one of the most popular tourist destinations that you should not miss when coming to Hue. The highlight of Thien Mu Pagoda is the beautiful view that turns toward Huong River with a quiet and romantic atmosphere. This pagoda is about 5km away from the city center, on Ha Khe hill in Huong Long commune. You can cruise on the Huong River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda.

Huyen Khong Pagoda

Huyen Khong Pagoda

Dubbed as "fairyland in the underworld" … Here you will be immersed in a full of mystery spiritual world crossing the Trang Tien bridge to reach Chiem mountain to Huyen Khong pagoda. The ancient temple with natural space creates an extremely wild scene right at the gate of the pagoda. If you have a chance to visit Hue you should not miss this attractive tourist destination.

Mausoleums

It's impossible to miss seeing firsthand the works of this ancient splendor. The tombs of the kings in Hue have their own characteristics and interesting historical stories. However, the mausoleums are far apart and are not located in the center of the city. You should take time to rent a taxi or a car (about 300 thousand VND) for a tour of the mausoleums such as Tu Duc Tomb, Minh Mang Tomb, and Khai Dinh Tomb.

The tomb of King Khai Dinh is a unique architectural work mixed with modern European and classical features of Vietnam. As Hue Citadel, Khai Dinh Mausoleum is recognized as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

Scenic Spots

Huong River

Huong River

Huong River

Perhaps for Hue, the romantic Huong River has become a symbol of this place. Going to Hue, you cannot fail to visit the gentle, peaceful, and quiet Huong river. Particularly, listening to Ca Tru on the Huong River is so great because Hue folk songs have a history of hundreds of years and associate with locals and dreamy lands in Hue. In the evening you can buy tickets for Hue folk songs on the Huong River and float paper lanterns down the river. Tickets for the choir and boat are priced at 80-120 thousand VND.

Walk along the banks of the Huong River in the night market to enjoy the Truong Tien bread, or bowl of hot beef rice noodles of Keo mother in the morning and eating a cup of the sweet gruel with "Banh Bot Loc"- a unique dumplings (a tiny rice flour dumpling was stuffed with shrimp and pork then wrapped in a banana leaf) that will fill up anyone's stomach.

Ngu Binh Moutain

Along with the Huong River, Ngu Binh Mountain is one of the two most poetic landscapes in Hue. "Huong River- Ngu Binh Mountain", if referring to the Huong River, it is indispensable to not refer to Ngu Binh Mountain, that is "a pair of faithful lovers"  that nature has given to Hue.

Vong Canh Hill

Just a few kilometers from Ngu Binh Mountain, it is Vong Canh Hill, another Hue sights, standing gracefully on the banks of the Huong River. As its name, standing on Vong Canh hill, you can see the poetic landscape of Hue City. Standing in a green color of the trees, a peace of the gentle afternoon.

Bach Ma National Park

For those who love the wild nature, simplicity, and quietness, Bach Ma National Park is a real treasure.

Bach Ma National Park

Bach Ma National park

Bach Ma Mountain, is about 60km south of Hue, at a height of 1,450m, is a popular trekking site in Vietnam.

Come to Bach Ma, tourists can not only enjoy the large natural space and watch the impressive beauty of Bach Ma, but also visit a natural world that has various types of precious plants and animals.
